Meet Dr. Melinda Bruxvoort
Dr. Melinda Bruxvoort began her education in health care at the University of Iowa where she earned a bachelor's degree in Biology. While receiving this degree, she was introduced to chiropractic. She pursued her chiropractic career at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA receiving her Doctorate in Chiropractic. During her time here, she worked at Palmer's campus outreach clinic, that provided free care to those in need. In addition to this, Dr. Bruxvoort was one of the students chosen to participate in a traveling clinic where she was able to travel to and assist people in Montana. These experiences all provided her with extensive clinical training prior to graduating with honors near the top of her class.
Dr. Bruxvoort has practiced chiropractic in Iowa, but moved to Michigan to be closer to family and friends. She looks forward to helping as many people as possible through chiropractic care. Dr. Bruxvoort is well versed in multiple techniques including Thompson and activator as well as being very efficient in providing manual adjusting therapy. She also holds a post graduate certification in extremity (arms and legs) adjusting.
Dr. Bruxvoort's focus is on women's health care concerns and she enjoys working with kids, pregnant women, and geriatric patients. What sets her apart from others is that she likes to take the necessary time with every patient addressing and listening to all questions each person may have and providing superior care to all she serves.
