Meet Our Doctor -
Craft Chiropractic Creating Wellness Centers in Portland
Meet Dr. Tim Butcko
A 2008 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St Louis, MO. I have had the benefit of treating a wide array of injury types: from sprain/strain over exertion injuries, cervical and lumbar disc to workers compensation and personal injury injuries. I have found two constants, regardless of type of injury and these are spinal and joint injuries happen to all people, regardless of age, race or gender, and the power that created the body can heal the body. When nerve interference is removed, the body can devote its full capacity to healing and correcting injury and imbalance.
My chiropractic career began in Chicago, IL in 2009. I spent 5 years there, working with and learning from several very talented healers. During that time, I had the privilege to work in multi-disciplinary offices, where I learned to function with a team of other physicians, medical doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists and massage therapists coordinating their care to maximize clinical outcome. In late 2013, I returned home to Michigan, where I returned to family practice in Battle Creek for 5 years before moving north to the Lansing and Charlotte area.
As mentioned earlier, I have had the benefit of working with a wide variety of patients, from almost every walk of life. I firmly believe that communication and education are key to the healing and recovery process. YOU are the key to your healing process, it is my primary job to teach you not only what is wrong (and, of course, correct it), but also why it went wrong and guide you in strengthening your body and keeping mobility so after your problem is corrected, it is less likely to return or is, at least severe if it does come back.
I use a variety of techniques including; Diversified, Thompson, Flexion/Distraction, numerous muscle release techniques as well as physical therapy modalities to allow for maximum relief of pain and improved physical function.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, running my dogs as well as spending time in the gym. I also enjoy any opportunity to expand my horizons, looking for any opportunity to add new tools to my toolkit as means to treat and improve the lives of my patients.
