Hello to all: To tell you a bit about myself; I graduated Cum Laude from Palmer of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA in 1986 where I was a 4 year member of the Dean's list and a member of the Chiropractic International Scholastic Honor Society.

Having completed in excess of 540 hours of post graduate in the fields of Sports Medicine and Pediatrics, I am a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, a certified Chiropractic Pediatric Physician and Board Eligible Diplomat of the American Board of Chiropractic Sports Physicians.

Because of my love of athletics and caring for athletes, I was one of the founding members of Wrangler Sports Chiropractic and Pro Sports Chiropractic (an organization of Chiropractic and Medical Physicians, Athletic trainers, Physical Therapists and Massage therapist dedicated to the treatment of professional and amateur athletes).

Also because of my passion for and strong interest in caring for children of all ages and mothers to be, I have done extensive post graduate study in the field of fertility, prenatal care and the mastery of and certification in the Webster Technique. This technique is a procedure done to facilitate the turning of a breech or other aberrant position baby to turn into a normal position and allow the best possible chance of a uncomplicated birth process. This training has allowed me to earn the degree of a Certified Chiropractic Pediatric Physician.

I am a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, the American Board of Chiropractic Radiology, the Federation of Chiropractic Education and Research, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and the Michigan Association of Chiropractic Pediatrics.

I was selected as a People to People Ambassador to join a multidisciplinary Sports Medicine team to tour the Sydney, Australia Olympic Venue and exchange methods and protocol with Australia's top sports physicians prior to the Sydney Summer Olympics.

I am a Post Graduate Faculty member at Palmer College of Chiropractic and have personally coached and educated more than 20 chiropractic students and new graduates in the principles, art, science and business of providing exceptional Chiropractic care to patients of all conditions and ages from birth to centurions. Six of the most exceptional of those doctors are part of our team at this time.

I am a founder and director of Craft Chiropractic Creating Wellness Centers, with offices located in Charlotte, Grand Ledge, Portland, Marshall, Wyoming, Middleville and Lansing, Michigan.

As noted above, I have extensive post graduate education in post injury rehabilitation, exercise physiology and conditioning programs, nutritional and diet applications for disease process's, including weight loss, cardiovascular disease due to cholesterol/triglyceride imbalances, diabetes and other blood sugar imbalances, syndrome X, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, childhood ear infections, colic, ADD, ADHD, asthma, leaky gut, gluten and lactose intolerances, male and female support and a host of other conditions.

What I need people to realize is that while the United States is the greatest, most advanced country in the world with the most advanced medical treatment and expertise in emergency medicine in the world but is far from winning the battle on health as a nation. In fact, while our country encompasses less than 5% of the world's population, we consume in excess of 50% of the prescription drugs in the world and spend an average about $10,000 per year for medical treatment on every man, woman and child in our country.

With the firm knowledge that most of the chronic conditions that we as Americans are being treated for today are caused by lifestyle and life's choices, I am passionate in educating and helping my patients achieve better health and overcome the need to rely on the multitude of prescription medications that are being used by people to cover up poor lifestyle choices.

My goal and mission is to add quantity and quality of life to as many individuals as humanly possible through educating, and encouraging people, as well as, facilitating the optimum expression of the body's innate ability to survive and thrive by enhancing the communication pathways between the brain and cells of the body. This is accomplished by removing any neurologic interference that is caused by spinal misalignments known in the Chiropractic profession as vertebral subluxations.

I truly believe in the words of Chiropractic's founder Dr. D.D. Palmer, "You never know how something you do, think or say today may affect the lives of millions tomorrow".

In addition to the passion I bring to my professional career, I am very active in many community, charity, and business organizations, as well as, church. I have repeatedly been named Charlotte's Favorite Chiropractor (voted by the public) and am extremely grateful for their support and confidence.

My recreational interests include family activities, travel, flying, diving, motorcycling, water and snow skiing, snowmobiling and hunting. I have been seen skydiving, bungee jumping, rappelling down the face of skyscrapers and shark diving.

My name is Dr. Laurie Craft. I truly enjoy working with people of all ages and helping them make educated choices about their health. I believe that the power that made the body, heals the body.

My recreational interests include spending time with family and friends, running, water skiing and volleyball. I would like to continue to visit third world countries and provide Chiropractic to those who don't have access. My trip to Vietnam in the summer of 2008 was truly amazing. Our group cared for over 4,000 patients in our free clinic around the country. I also take pleasure in taking care of the military men and women that have served our country.

I have the benefit of working with women and children. A spinal checkup could be one of the most important events in your child's life. It is so important that children have their spines checked to ensure that they have properly functioning nervous systems. There are so many preventable symptoms and it is my job to educate and correct the fixations in the spine.

I use a variety of techniques including; Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, and Activator techniques.

I began my career at Craft Chiropractic Creating Wellness Centers in Charlotte, Michigan in March of 2009. Before coming to Michigan, I finished a four month internship in Palm Beach Gardens, FL where I learned from Dr. David Quartell. Since joining Dr. Dennis Craft's amazing team, I have learned important tools and I have been able to adjust thousands of people. I feel like he has taught me so much and I am so happy to have an remarkable career here and having cared for so many people in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. I look forward to the future and how many people we can truly change for the better.

I attended Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL for my undergraduate and graduated with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IL in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in General Science and a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
